The South West College at Dungannon is the largest training provider in the South Tyrone area and currently has over 15,000 enrolments. In 2005 the new college was opened providing state-of-the-art training facilities in Engineering.
Engineering courses at the college include National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ) in Fabrication, Welding and Mechanical Engineering, and BTEC National Diploma courses in Mechanical and Electronic Engineering.
A new precision engineering facility has recently been commissioned. This employs the very latest CNC machining and computer technology to produce super precision parts. This makes the engineering facilities at the South West College at Dungannon, the most modern in Northern Ireland.
